That is a great question but the answer is too lengthy for a FAQ. Ganoderma is known by different names in different languages. Reishi in Japanese. Ganoderma was the first mushroom found to have medicinal benefits several thousand years ago in China. The benefits vary depending on the origin of the spawn, the growing conditions, the part of the plant used for as an ingredient, exposure to harmful heavy metals in polluted air, and other possible contaminants.
